Tragic Death of British Jockey Tommy Jakes
According to inkorr.com: Tommy Jakes, a British jockey, passed away at home at the age of 20. This sad news was confirmed by the Association of Professional Jockeys, reports Glavcom.
“With deep sorrow, we announce the death of Tommy Jakes, who tragically died at home this morning near Newmarket. Tommy was a beloved son and brother, as well as a popular member of George Boughey's racing team. His parents, Jeremy and Toni, ask that their privacy be respected during this terrible time,” - states the announcement from the Association of Professional Jockeys.
It is known that on Wednesday, Jakes participated in a competition in Nottingham and planned to compete in two races in Chelmsford on Thursday.
Ukrainian President's Response to the Death of Journalists
Recall that as a result of an enemy drone strike of the 'Lancet' type in Kramatorsk, journalist Elena Hubanova of the Freedom channel and operator Yevhen Karmazin were killed. Vadim Filashkin noted that the media workers have been covering the situation in Donetsk since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, telling the truth about the enemy's crimes and the evacuation of civilians. They worked in the hottest spots of the region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to their surviving colleague.
