Russia denies concessions in Trump's peace plan: what is really happening.
According to ТСН: U.S. President Donald Trump reported possible 'concessions' from Russia in the context of a 'peace plan', although specific details remain unknown. Moscow, however, has a different perspective on the situation.
Russia's Reaction
Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov expressed his position in a comment to Sky News. He stated that the Russian Federation is allegedly 'ready to work with the materials we have'.
“There can be no talk of any concessions or abandonment of our approach to key issues we face, particularly in the context of the 'special military operation',” the Russian official emphasized boldly.
Discussion of the Peace Process
Ryabkov emphasized that Moscow welcomes 'the efforts of the Trump administration in seeking reasonable solutions and results', noting that the discussion of the peace plan is ongoing.
“I emphasize that various elements of the Anchorage agreement are themselves compromise solutions,” he stressed, referring to the meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska in August.
Peace Agreement
As a reminder, Trump stated that Ukraine and Russia 'are very close to a peace agreement', claiming that the main 'concession' from Russia would be that it 'simply stops fighting against Ukraine'.
Trump also noted that he has not set deadlines for reaching a peace agreement, while American representatives are making progress in negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow.
In the context of these statements, it is important to understand that the situation remains tense. On one hand, diplomatic efforts continue, while on the other hand, the positions of the parties remain radically different. Observers will closely follow the further development of events, as the outcomes of these negotiations could significantly impact regional stability.
