What Trump says about the meeting place with Putin
'Fake news has been claiming for three days that I suffered a 'great defeat' by allowing Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold a major summit in the United States. In fact, he would gladly have held this meeting anywhere but the USA, and fake news knows this,' Trump wrote.
He believes that the democratic media would criticize his decision regardless of the location of the negotiations with Putin. Furthermore, the American leader accused his opponents of 'trying to sow chaos in Washington and other cities.'
Let us remind you that Trump named the condition under which Ukraine could immediately end the war. He recalled the annexation of Crimea and Ukraine's non-NATO membership.
Moreover, the US president hinted at possible territorial concessions from Ukraine. He stated that Ukraine must be ready to lose part of its territories in favor of Russia.
During his speech on social media, Donald Trump refuted rumors about his 'defeat' in the context of the planned meeting with Russian President Putin, emphasizing that the Russian leader would agree to meet anywhere but the United States. He also assured that Ukrainians should be prepared for possible territorial concessions in favor of Russia.
