Trump is ready to speak in the Ukrainian parliament: what the US president said.
According to ТСН: US President Donald Trump announced his readiness to visit Ukraine and speak before the Ukrainian parliament.
This information was voiced at a joint press conference following the conclusion of negotiations.
In response to a question about a possible visit to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement, Trump indicated that there are currently no specific plans and his main goal is to reach an agreement. However, he did not rule out the possibility of his visit.
“I suggested going and speaking in their parliament. If that helps. I don't know if it will help. I think it probably will help, but I don't even know,” Trump said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Trump would be welcome in Ukraine if he makes such a decision.
“I’m not sure it will actually be necessary, but if it helps save 25,000 lives a month or however many, I will definitely be ready to do it,” Trump said.
It was also noted that negotiations between Trump and Zelensky will continue in the coming days.
This statement from Trump reflects the importance of diplomatic relations between the US and Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict. A visit from the US president to Ukraine could be a significant step in supporting our country if negotiations yield positive results.
