Trump on military aid to Ukraine
US President Donald Trump once again confirmed that American troops will not be sent to Ukraine as part of security guarantees. He stated this in an interview with the Daily Caller, as reported by FREEДОМ.
Trump added that Washington is ready to provide military support to Europe in connection with the situation in Ukraine, namely, air support.
“I don’t think the situation can be resolved without security guarantees. The US has no intention of sending troops to Ukraine. But we can help Europe. And if they decide to do that, then troops will be there,” Trump said.
It should also be noted that the US State Department has approved a potential deal to supply Ukraine with aviation munitions and related equipment totaling $825 million.
Trump's comments may indicate that the administration of the United States continues to support Ukraine, but without direct military intervention. This emphasizes the importance of European support in strengthening security and stability in the region, especially in the face of ongoing challenges. Military assistance is crucial for Europeans to improve their defense capabilities.
