After a meeting with Putin, U.S. President Trump stated that he is still considering the issue of increasing sanctions against countries that purchase Russian oil. 'I may have to think about this in two or three weeks, but for now, we don't need to think about it,' he said in an interview with Fox News.
Trump also stated that China is the largest buyer of Russian oil. Additionally, he hinted that he has already negotiated with Putin about territorial exchanges in Ukraine, urging Zelensky to agree to a deal. He also said that he will not negotiate with Putin instead of Zelensky, but will only 'set the table' for both presidents.
As a result of Trump's negotiations with Putin, questions arise regarding possible sanctions against countries that purchase Russian oil, as well as agreements regarding Ukraine and joint negotiations between the leaders.
