US President Donald Trump announced a new agreement between America, NATO, and Ukraine regarding the supply of weapons from the United States. According to him, the Alliance pays for this weapons.
What Trump said about the purchase of weapons for Ukraine
'We are sending weapons to NATO, and NATO pays for these weapons 100%. Thus, the weapons we send are sent to NATO, and then NATO supplies these weapons (to Ukraine, — Ed.), and NATO pays for these weapons,' Trump noted.
The US president also reported that the agreement was reached at the NATO summit last month.
'We supply weapons to NATO, and NATO will reimburse the full cost of this weapon,' Trump added.
It is also worth noting that in the same interview, the US president stated that next Monday he would make an important statement regarding Russia. He left the specific plans for future communications.
Recently, Russia proposed a new approach to resolving the war in Ukraine after the resumption of arms supplies to Kyiv from the US.
