According to ТСН: The Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has sharply criticized Donald Trump's new statements regarding US claims to Greenland.
She called on Trump to end his threats against this autonomous territory.
"It is absolutely absurd to say that the USA should conquer Greenland. The USA has no right to annex one of the three countries of the Kingdom of Denmark (which also includes two autonomous territories - the Faroe Islands and Greenland)," said Mette Frederiksen.
We remind you that Donald Trump has once again commented on Greenland, stating that the USA 'really' needs this territory.
These statements have triggered broad resonance, as Greenland has long been a strategically important region. The tensions between the USA and Denmark on this matter could affect relations between the countries, which is why the Prime Minister's response is not coincidental. Observers expect further developments in this situation.
