Gymnastics coaches went against Stella Zakharova with open letters.

The gymnastics coaches expressed criticism towards the vice-president of the Ukrainian gymnastics federation, Stella Zakharova. One of the coaches mentioned an instance when the senior coach of the team did not return after going abroad.

Another coach recounted a situation where Zakharova wanted to exclude a gymnast from the team final at the European Championship. If this had happened, Ukraine would not have won the gold medal.

Another coach noted that young athletes are not provided with assistance and they travel to competitions at their own expense. The third coach shared an example when the gymnasts were not allowed to compete abroad, although it was very important.

Another coach asserts that Zakharova is harming the sport. He cited the gymnast Boris Shaklin's saying about the tournaments organized by Zakharova.

Earlier, one of the gymnasts accused the leadership of the Ukrainian gymnastics federation of corruption. Then several other gymnasts also expressed their dissatisfaction with the actions of the federation.

Zakharova responded to the criticism, claiming that all accusations are unfounded.

Investigations showed that this year's Ukrainian gymnastics championship was the most expensive sports event in the country. The costs amounted to over 8.5 million UAH, and Stella Zakharova was the organizer.
