Ukrainian Artistic Gymnastics Championship - the most expensive sports competition in Ukraine

Tribuna.com together with NGL.media conducted an investigation regarding the expenses for this year's Ukrainian Gymnastics Championship, which became the most expensive state-funded competition. The total expenses for the competition exceeded 8.5 million UAH. The organization of the competition at the state level is handled by the state institution "UkrSportsEnsuring" subordinate to the Ministry of Sports.

The institution signed a contract worth over 6.6 million UAH with the company "Kyiv Media Production". However, there are no financial reports or information about the company. Also, no office of the company was found, and the owner of the company, who resides abroad, claims that another person signed on her behalf "with a power of attorney".

Quote: "The financially and materially responsible person, who checks and confirms the completeness and quality of service delivery, is leading coach Oksana Slusarchuk, not the owner of the company," said Oksana Slusarchuk.

According to the judges of the championship, the company did not deliver some of the services related to judging equipment, on which more than 440,000 UAH was spent. The competition organizer Stella Zakharova stated that she was looking for the company and was selecting the equipment.

Quote: "Questions about our relationship with the company are a provocation," said Stella Zakharova.

In response to journalists' inquiries, "UkrSportsEnsuring" sent 66 pages of contracts and acts, but could not provide answers to significant questions regarding the company's whereabouts and the cost of services.
