Three waves of power outages: Ukrenergo presents the schedule for December 13.
The National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo' has published the schedule for electricity outages on December 13.
For ordinary consumers, restrictions will be introduced in three time frames: from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM - one queue of outages, and from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM - two queues. Industrial enterprises and businesses will be limited by capacity from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
'Ukrenergo' explains that the temporary restrictions are related to damage to energy facilities due to rocket and drone attacks from Russia. Repair work is being carried out to restore the damaged equipment as soon as possible.
The company reports that the time and volume of restrictions may change throughout the day and advises consumers to follow the current information on the websites and social media of local energy companies. 'Ukrenergo' also notes that there is a consistently high level of electricity consumption, which corresponds to seasonal indicators.
Power deficit
Despite this, the energy system of Ukraine has not yet fully recovered from eleven massive attacks that occurred throughout the year. It has significant capacity problems. To support the energy system, electricity is being imported from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova with a total volume of 12,378 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 924 MW in certain hours.
