Hotel Hair Dryers — Dangerous for Health: Trichologist Warned About Risks.
How Hotel Hair Dryers Can Be Dangerous
Travelers dislike carrying a hair dryer on trips because it takes up a lot of space and could lead to extra baggage fees. However, it turns out that using a hotel hair dryer can be not only inconvenient but also harmful.
According to Daily Express, studies have shown that hotel staff often forget to keep hair dryers clean in rooms, turning them into real breeding grounds for bacteria and microbes.
The trichologist warns that such dryers often harbor fungi caused by high humidity, which can damage both hair and the health of the entire body.
“Hair dryers in hotels often become the perfect environment for the development of bacteria and fungi. If they come into contact with your hair and scalp, it can cause infections, irritation, as well as damage hair follicles and stop their growth,” noted the expert.
These harmful microorganisms can also lead to hair loss, dandruff, dermatitis, and other serious skin health problems.
Recall that earlier we explained how to properly pack things in a suitcase for travel. We also shared news about a bee attack on a plane in India.
While traveling, we often do not think about the fact that hotel hair dryers can pose danger not only to our hair but also to our health. Studies have shown that such dryers can be true 'hotspots' for the development of bacteria and fungi, leading to various dermatological issues and hair loss. Therefore, it is always better to have your own hair dryer with you while traveling or to use disposable products that guarantee safety for your health.Read also
