Ukrainian athletes demonstrated their skill at the Paralympic Games
Today, September 5, at the Paralympic Games in Paris, Ukrainian athletes once again demonstrated their skill, adding new medals to the Ukrainian national team's treasury. This was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The legend of Ukrainian sports, Oksana Boturchuk, won a silver medal in the 100 meters run (class T12). In a tense final, the 39-year-old athlete from Nikopol set her new personal season record with a time of 12.17 seconds, falling just 0.36 seconds behind the Cuban champion Omara Durand Elias.
This is the 12th Paralympic medal in Boturchuk's career, reaffirming her status as one of the most successful Ukrainian Paralympians.
The next medal in swimming went to Danylo Chufarov. He won a bronze medal in the 100 meters breaststroke (class SB11) with a time of 1:12.72.
Our team took third place in the 4x50 meters medley relay. Yaroslav Semenenko, Anna Hontar, Oleksandr Komarov, and Iryna Poyda showed a result of 2:31.53.
Let us recall, a Ukrainian won Ukraine's historic medal in the road race at the 2024 Paralympics.
