First in the World Artificial Intelligence Olympics to be Held in Bulgaria.
Bulgaria will become the first country in the world to organize an artificial intelligence olympics. This was reported by the Bulgarian publication Novinite.
It is noted that the competition will be held from August 10 to 14 and will receive support from renowned universities and large technology companies from different countries of the world. About 200 students from different countries of the world will participate.
Minister of Education and Science Galina Tsokova reported that 44 teams have already confirmed their participation, including two from Bulgaria. She also emphasized that this new artificial intelligence olympics continues the tradition of holding international competitions in Bulgaria.
The co-author of the olympics, Elena Marinova, added that the competition will consist of theoretical and practical stages.
As known, the European Artificial Intelligence Act, which is the first comprehensive regulatory act in the world regarding this technology, came into force on August 1. This was reported by the European Commission.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act is designed to ensure that artificial intelligence developed and used in the EU is reliable and guarantees the protection of fundamental human rights. The law also defines artificial intelligence based on an approach centered on product safety and risk assessment in the EU.
