Russians reduced the number of assaults in July: what has changed on the front.
In the second half of July, Ukrainian forces recorded a noticeable decrease in the intensity of attacks from the enemy. Although the overall level of hostilities remains high, the statistics indicate a certain weakening of the offensive pressure.
Analysts from DeepState report this.
DeepState announced a change in Russian tactics on the front
Specifically, in the first decade of July, the average daily number of assaults was almost 186. In the second decade, this figure decreased to 178, and in the third — to 171.5. At the beginning of August, the downward trend continues: in the first two days, an average of 155 attacks per day were recorded.
Along with this, the nature of hostilities is also changing. A year ago, for example, in the Progress direction, assault groups of 50 people would go in, but now Russians increasingly operate in small groups of 2-3 soldiers.
There is also a noticeable increase in attempts at stealthy advancement — the enemy can crawl to Ukrainian positions for several hours or even a day, using camouflage and deceptive means.
The President of Ukraine announced the destruction of sabotage groups in the Pokrovsk direction
Ukrainian forces pay special attention to the so-called 'flag-takers' tactic, when the enemy makes demonstrative breakthroughs solely to create propaganda stories.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Armed Forces continue to destroy Russian sabotage groups in the Pokrovsk direction.
And the report of the Institute for the Study of War states that Ukrainian forces have advanced in Donetsk region.
Summary: Ukrainian forces recorded a decrease in the intensity of assaults from the enemy, indicating a weakening of the offensive pressure. Recent data also show a change in Russian military tactics, as they operate in smaller groups and resort to stealthy advancement near Ukrainian positions. The President of Ukraine emphasized the successful destruction of sabotage groups in one of the directions and the advancement of Ukrainian forces in Donetsk region.Read also
