Law enforcement documented the sale of over 35 kilograms of explosive material.

During searches, officers seized the following items:

  • ammunition;
  • grenades;
  • approximately 12 kilograms of explosive substances;
  • cash;

  • computer equipment.

The three suspects have been officially notified of suspicion and detained. They face up to 10 years in prison for crimes related to the manufacture and sale of explosives.

FSB Agent Arrested for Plotting Attacks

Separately, the Security Service of Ukraine apprehended an FSB agent who was planning terrorist acts in Kharkiv. The suspect had assembled two homemade explosive devices weighing a combined total of over 12 kilograms. He has been charged with preparation for committing a terrorist attack. This incident follows an explosion that occurred on March 3 in Kharkiv, which killed one man and left a woman injured.

These developments highlight the ongoing efforts by Ukrainian law enforcement to prevent terrorist attacks in Kharkiv, taking decisive action to neutralize threats linked to the production and distribution of explosives.

The cases underscore the serious dangers posed by the illicit trade in explosive materials, especially amid Ukraine's ongoing conflict. The arrests of both the bomb-making ring and the FSB agent demonstrate proactive measures by authorities to combat terrorism and organized crime. They also reflect the broader security situation in the region, where law enforcement must continuously adapt to emerging challenges.
