Destruction in Kherson will be assessed by drones: how this will affect assistance.
According to inkorr.com: Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military-Civil Administration, reported on the discussion of the problem of assessing destroyed housing at a meeting in the regional office of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.
'Due to the location of most destroyed objects in the zone of active hostilities, their inspection becomes impossible due to enemy attacks. Therefore, necessary confirmations can be obtained through remote inspections using drones and other means; however, in some communities, it is also impossible to do this due to the constant drone threat. Thus, we decided to raise this issue at the national Congress and propose that the Ministry of Development develop methodologies for inspections using unmanned aerial vehicles and remote sensing means, taking into account the experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and local military administrations,' he noted.
Assistance to the affected
Among the key topics discussed at the Congress was the organization of effective assistance to people affected by enemy shelling. Issues of not only medical support but also living conditions were discussed. The issues of temporary resettlement of evacuated residents of the region and the mechanisms for reimbursing costs for the restoration of destroyed housing also became relevant.
Particular attention was drawn to the need to restore the work of mobile pharmacy points in the Kherson and Beryslav districts to provide the population with medicines and medical supplies.
The meeting actively discussed the inspection of destroyed houses in the combat zone using drones, as well as efforts to provide assistance to those affected by shelling.
The importance of these discussions cannot be overestimated, as they directly relate to the life and health of the region's residents. Effective solutions can significantly improve the situation for those who find themselves in difficult circumstances due to the war.
