Increasing incidence of illness in Kyiv
'This is absolutely seasonal, before September, the number of returns from migration measures increases, vacations, people arriving from other countries. And the main thing is that we are not really adhering to elementary safety measures, and unfortunately, for everyone, this is a war, this is shelling, and we forget about safety measures,'- noted the head of the health department of the Kyiv City State Administration, Valentyna Hinzburg.
Valentyna Hinzburg urged residents of the capital to remember individual protective measures, especially in crowded places - not only in shelters but also in shopping centers and other premises.
She also advised on ensuring ventilation and wearing a mask in large gatherings, as infected individuals without obvious symptoms may be near.
Hinzburg emphasized that even after symptoms disappear, a person may still remain contagious for some time and pose a risk to others, so contacts with other people should be limited.
Remember, a new strain of the coronavirus, Stratus, has recently been detected in the world, which does not immediately reveal immunity. Medical professionals have identified the new strain of the virus in eight regions of Ukraine and urge people to get vaccinated against the flu.
In Kyiv, there is an increase in coronavirus infections, so city residents are urged to take individual protective measures and monitor their health in public transport and crowded places.
