In Kyiv, minibus prices have sharply increased: where and how the fares have changed.
The fare for minibuses between Kyiv and Brovary will rise to 35 hryvnias starting January 6, 2025, according to local transport company announcements. After the increase, the fare from Kyiv to the Driving School will be 30 hryvnias.
The head of the Kyiv region transport association, Oleksiy Pavlenko, confirmed the fare increase for the Brovary route. He explained that there are many reasons for the fare increase: excise taxes on fuel have risen, the minimum wage has increased, and spare parts have become more expensive. This has led to changes in the fare.
At least this is not as tragic as the complete absence of transport connections between the capital and the capital region.
The Brovary route had long maintained the old tariffs compared to other satellite cities of Kyiv. Pavlenko reported that Brovary is the last district in the Kyiv region to review tariffs upwards. The fare will increase by 5 hryvnias and will amount to 35 hryvnias.
Experts do not make predictions regarding the economic impact of tariff increases due to the significant decrease in passenger traffic during the war over the past three years compared to the preceding era. Transport operators ask passengers to understand these changes as they are related to the sharp rise in fuel and lubricants prices.
Recall that recently, retirees were reminded about which public transport they can use for free.
