Emergency Recovery Operations Completed in Kyiv
According to Novyny.live: In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, crews have finished emergency recovery work at the site of a Russian strike on a residential building that occurred during the night of May 24. The attack left three people dead and 92 injured, including three minors. During the response, rescue teams pulled 13 residents from the debris.
Scope of the Operation
The recovery and restoration efforts included:
- dismantling over 165 square meters of hazardous reinforced concrete structures;
- removing more than 1,080 cubic meters of construction waste;
- deploying 871 rescue personnel and 201 units of specialized equipment;
- providing psychological support to 320 affected individuals.
Ukrainian official Andrii Sybiha stated, 'Ukraine is working with partners to strengthen military assistance and secure additional air defense systems.'
The situation in Ukraine remains tense as attacks on civilian infrastructure persist. The completion of recovery operations at the site of the Russian strike highlights both the efforts of emergency services and the resilience of local residents. At the same time, Ukrainian authorities are actively working to bolster the country's defense capabilities, a critical factor in ensuring public safety amid the ongoing armed conflict.
