The Rozumovskyi Palace in Kyiv is being destroyed - the object is under arrest.

In Kyiv, the historic palace of Hetman Kyrylo Rozumovskyi is once again under threat due to repair work being carried out on the site, despite the imposed arrest. Last March, workers began dismantling part of the Kyiv fortress, under which the historic foundation of the hetman's palace was discovered. Although the wooden palace itself has not survived, construction activities have resumed on the estate, even though it has been officially stated that it is 'restoration of the foundations'. Activists and authorities are responding to unauthorized repair work that violates laws and requirements regarding the preservation of cultural heritage.
