Intel Panther Lake Chips Appeared on the Black Market: Details of the Leak

According to Korrespondent.net: There are still a few months until the official launch of Intel Panther Lake mobile processors, but the first engineering samples of these chips have already appeared on the Chinese black market, reports Tom's Hardware. One of these samples was recently purchased along with an engineering platform, although the price of the deal has not been disclosed. This concerns a model from the Core Ultra 3 series.

Specifications and Confirmation

A user from BiliBili with the nickname @yuuki_ans reported the appearance of the chip, publishing a photo of the reference platform (RVP) that Intel uses for testing various configurations. The platform features an engineering version of Core Ultra 3 300H from the Panther Lake family: it has 10 cores in a combination of 2 performance (P), 4 power-efficient (E), and 4 ultra-low-power (LPE) cores. The chip also contains four Xe3 graphic cores. Along with the processor, there is 16 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 memory, consisting of four chips of 4 GB each.

Tests and Energy Consumption

Another insider, HXL (@9550pro), published a screenshot from the CPU-Z application confirming the basic specifications of the sample. Since this is an early engineering version, the indicators are still far from final. The chip has 12 MB of L3 cache and 11 MB of L2 cache, operates at a base frequency of 3 GHz with the possibility of boosting up to 3.2 GHz, and the maximum frequency of the E-cores is 2.4 GHz. The power consumption in PL1 mode is 25 W, in PL2 - 65 W, in PL3 - 140 W, and the maximum operating temperature (TjMax) is 100 °C.

Other Insights and Announcements

Another informant, GOKForFree, showed an entry-level Panther Lake engineering sample, which has only two P-cores and four E-cores. This looks unusual since all models in the series are expected to have LP-type cores. He also shared specifications and initial tests in the 3DMark application.

Intel has already confirmed that the official announcement of the Core Ultra 300 processors will take place at CES 2026 in January.

It is worth noting that earlier it was reported about the development of a graphic AI chip for data centers by Intel.

A former Intel engineer stole 18,000 secret files and disappeared In the world of technology, Intel Panther Lake is generating significant interest, especially against the backdrop of the appearance of engineering samples on the black market. Considering that the company plans an official announcement at CES 2026, it remains to observe further updates that may significantly impact the processor market. Technological innovations always awaited an impulse to overturn the concept of performance and energy efficiency.
