China introduces the DR02 robot worker: withstands frost and heat.

According to Korrespondent.net: The Chinese company Deep Robotics has presented a new humanoid robot DR02, designed for continuous work in challenging industrial and outdoor conditions, reports Humanoids Daily. The developers emphasize that one of the main advantages of the model is its high reliability and resistance to weather conditions. The robot has received IP66 certification, which provides complete protection against dust and powerful water jets.

Technical specifications of DR02

DR02 can operate in a temperature range from -20°C to +55°C, allowing it to perform tasks in environments where regular electronics may fail — for example, on open industrial sites, in refrigerated warehouses, or in hot workshops.

The height of the robot is 175 cm, and each arm can lift up to 10 kg. The total weight it can carry reaches 20 kg. DR02 moves at a speed of 1.5 m/s and can climb stairs and slopes of up to 20 degrees, navigating with the help of a sensor complex and a computational system with a performance of 275 TOPS. The design of the model features a modular layout, allowing for quick removal or replacement of arms and legs, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime.

Company plans and future

Deep Robotics is already known for its series of quadrupedal robots Jueying, which are used for industrial inspections. DR02 is the next step in the company's development after the demonstration of the DR01 prototype in 2024, which indicates a transition to the creation of bipedal platforms.

Although the developers have not yet revealed details about autonomy, operational duration, or the cost of DR02, the novelty is already positioned as an effective solution for industrial conditions, not just as a demonstration sample.
