China has unveiled the updated Toyota Corolla: details of the new design.
According to Korrespondent.net: The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China has presented images of the updated version of the Toyota Corolla sedan. As noted by Motor1, this is a usual practice for the Chinese agency, which registers all new vehicles before they hit the market.
The current generation of the Corolla has been on the market for six years. Despite some upgrades in various regions, no major changes are expected yet. Toyota plans to conduct another facelift based on the existing platform, at least for the Chinese market.

The main changes affected the front of the vehicle. The headlights now consist of two blocks: the upper one features a C-shaped outline with a continuous LED strip, while the low and high beams are located at the bottom of the bumper and highlighted with black inserts. A wider dark grille and a larger front spoiler have also appeared.
On the sides, the vehicle has been equipped with new wheel rims, and at the rear - with taillights featuring an updated design, now connected by a light bridge. The bumper remains unchanged. The interior of the car traditionally remains undisclosed, so it is currently unknown whether the model retains the existing dashboard or will change to a new style with a larger multimedia screen, like in the RAV4.
Technical Specifications
For the Chinese market, there will be two engine options under the hood: a hybrid setup based on a 1.8-liter engine with 98 hp and an NCM battery, and a 2.0-liter engine with 171 hp.
It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that the Chinese version of the Toyota RAV4 retains the gasoline engine.
