The Ministry of Education responded whether teachers should expect salary increases.
Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi, stated that teachers should not expect salary increases in the near future. He expressed his concern about the issue of attracting young professionals to the field of education and acknowledged that there are significant difficulties in this regard.
"We have developed a certain concept of salary increase, but as of today we have a difficult budget situation," Lisovyi said.
The minister explained that most of the state budget funds are directed to defense, and only after the war ends, the possibility of implementing the concept of salary increase for teachers may appear.
"Education is the No. 1 priority after defense," the head of the Ministry of Education noted.
It is worth noting that a teacher personnel reserve has been created in Ukraine, which can help solve the problem of attracting young professionals to the educational sector.
