A drone has been found in the village of Salchiya in the Taraclia district, close to the border with Ukraine. This was reported by the Moldovan police.

The drone was discovered in a field.

The area has been isolated and now specialists from the explosives department are working there. After an initial inspection, it was established that there were no explosives in it.

The police also stated that residents of Salchiya are not in danger. The investigation is ongoing.

It is worth noting that this is not the first Time Russian targets have crossed into Moldovan territory. President of Moldova Maia Sandu reported that a Russian missile violated the country's airspace on the night of Wednesday, December 25.

Russian attack on Ukraine

On the night of February 12, 2025, the enemy shelled Kyiv and Kryvyi Rih with 'Iskander-M' ballistic missiles. Russia also attacked with 123 strike drones 'Shahed' and imitation drones of other types. Since the beginning of the day, the downing of six 'Iskander-M' missiles (defensive anti-aircraft missile system with S-400) and 71 'Shahed' drones (drones of other types) has been confirmed across various regions of Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

Reports indicate that as a result of this attack on Kyiv, fires broke out in many areas. According to the capital's mayor Vitali Klitschko, there are dead and injured. In the Obolon district, one person has died and three have been injured, including a nine-year-old girl who was hospitalized.

In the Boryspil, Fastiv, and Obukhiv districts of the Kyiv region, a woman was injured as a result of falling fragments from destroyed Russian drones.

Furthermore, on the night of February 12, the Russians carried out attacks on one of the critical infrastructure facilities in Prylushchyna, Chernihiv region, likely using a strike drone.
