Beaver Supermoon on November 5: the closest full Moon of 2025.
Beaver Supermoon: a unique celestial phenomenon
According to Korrespondent.net: On the evening of November 5, a unique event will be visible from Earth - the Beaver Supermoon. This will be the closest full Moon to our planet in 2025, appearing about 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual.
Reasons for the Supermoon occurrence
According to information from AP, citing NASA, the Moon's orbit is elliptical rather than perfectly round, which is why the satellite periodically approaches Earth. When this moment coincides with the full Moon phase, a supermoon occurs.
Observing the Supermoon
This year's supermoon is named Beaver because during this period beavers in North America are actively preparing for winter. The Moon will come within about 357,000 kilometers of Earth - the shortest distance between these celestial bodies in 2025.
No special equipment is needed to observe the phenomenon - you only need clear skies. However, spotting the size difference of the Moon with the naked eye may be challenging.
The next supermoon is expected in December, but it will not be as close and bright.
It was previously reported that China stated it is advancing towards its goal - landing astronauts on the Moon by 2030.

The Beaver Supermoon is a great opportunity for astronomy enthusiasts and anyone interested to enjoy the night sky. Such phenomena attract the attention not only of astronomers but also of ordinary people who can observe them without any complications. Interestingly, during the phenomenon that brings the Moon closer to Earth, one can also notice an impact on nature - this is why this time coincides with the activity of beavers in North America, who are preparing for winter.
