The Pentagon commented on the possible deployment of North Korean troops to Ukraine.
U.S. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin commented on the news about the possible deployment of North Korean troops to Ukraine to fight on Russia's side.
According to Austin, the Pentagon cannot confirm such a report.
U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated on Saturday that he could not confirm reports that North Korea had sent troops to Russia ahead of a possible deployment to participate in the war in Ukraine
At the same Time, Austin stressed that such a step by North Korea would cause concern if it turns out to be true.
Recall, South Korean intelligence recently stated that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea sent 1,500 fighters to the Far East for training at local military bases. It mainly concerns North Korean special forces fighters: presumably, they want to use them in the war against Ukraine.
Previously, we wrote that the United States sharply criticized Russia's recruitment of North Koreans for the war in Ukraine.
