Ukrainian military together with allies will analyze the experience of the war against Russia

The new NATO center in Poland will allow Ukrainian military personnel to analyze the experience of the war against Russia alongside their allies and adapt it for the Alliance's needs.

This was revealed by NATO's Supreme Commander for Transformation, Admiral Pierre de Villiers, in an exclusive interview with Politico.

The NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC) will open next month in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz. It will employ 70 people, including 20 Ukrainians.

'Three years have passed, and a real question arises about what we have learned and what we will change, knowing that the enemy is also adapting quickly and on a large scale,' Admiral de Villiers said.

One of the main areas of research in the new center will be the combination of Ukrainian military technologies of the space age with trench warfare and artillery strikes. Admiral de Villiers compared the durations of these fighting techniques and called them 'a mix of World War I and the war of the future.'

The new center will also examine Russian military equipment, including Lancet kamikaze drones and glide bombs. Special attention will be paid to the protection of civilian infrastructure.

In addition, the development of drones will be one of the special research areas in the new center. Admiral de Villiers noted that software for drones operates on the Ukrainian front for one and a half months, after which it needs updating due to Russian countermeasures.

NATO takes military assistance to Ukraine under its control

The coordination of military assistance to Ukraine is being transferred to NATO control from the USA, including the management of SACU and IDCC, which will ensure stability of support regardless of political changes.

Four countries - the USA, Germany, Hungary, and Slovakia - currently do not support Ukraine's membership in the Alliance, as stated by President Zelensky.

Poland offers Ukraine an urgent invitation to join NATO, despite ongoing hostilities.

Sweden is also sending its ships and aircraft to patrol the Baltic Sea and protect underwater infrastructure as a NATO ally.
