The social networks of the Meta company became unavailable due to a failure, resulting in numerous user complaints. This is evidenced by data from the Downdetector service.

Due to the failures, platforms such as Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads are not working. Thousands of users are reporting problems with these applications.

In particular, Instagram users are experiencing server connection issues (78%), messaging problems (12%), and issues with the application itself (10%).

Currently, the causes of the failure are unknown.

It is worth noting that on October 3, the messaging app Telegram also experienced a failure. Users complained about slow loading and sending of messages.
