In Sudan, a cargo plane Il-76, possibly with Russians on board, was shot down. This was reported by Russian media, citing the embassy in the African country.

The embassy is in contact with the Sudanese authorities and is doing everything possible to clarify the circumstances of this incident. It is also known that the crash site is in Darfur - an area that is in a conflict zone.

Meanwhile, videos of the plane downing moment appeared on social networks. The Il-76 was mistakenly believed to be an army bomber.

The footage shows the personal belongings of the crew, including flight engineer Viktor Granov and Anton Selivants from Bashkiria.

Recall, in Russia, a plane crash occurred with four people on board. One of the crew members died as a result of the incident.

By the way, a Ukrainian F-16 aircraft reportedly shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter jet. If this information is confirmed, it will be the first instance of a Russian manned fighter being destroyed by an aircraft provided to Ukraine by Western partners.
