Donald Trump's campaign officially refuted statements made by Republican strategist Brian Lanza regarding a potential peace plan for Ukraine.

This was reported by Reuters.

Lanza, who worked on contract for the 2024 presidential campaign, previously gave an interview to the BBC in which he revealed the future position of the Trump administration.

"Brian Lanza was a contractor for the campaign. He does not work for President Trump and does not speak on his behalf," said an unnamed Trump transition team representative.

In his controversial interview, Lanza claimed that the new administration would require President Zelensky to have a "realistic view of the world". His priority will be achieving peace, not reclaiming lost territories.

"And if President Zelensky comes to the negotiation table and says that peace is only possible if Crimea is returned, he will show us that he is not serious. Crimea is lost," Lanza stated.

As we have written, Zelensky reacted to the ambiguous statement, allegedly from the Trump team, that Crimea is lost for Ukraine if it truly desires peace.
