In the war between Russia and Ukraine, each side must concede something - Rubio.
Rubio: for the war to end, Russia and Ukraine must concede
After Marco Rubio was appointed Secretary of State, he noted that he cannot determine the exact Time for the end of the war between Russia and Ukraine. However, he emphasized that both sides will have to concede something to achieve peace. Rubio also labeled Russia as the aggressor and stressed the need to end the war.
We want the war to end. The president has already stated that he wishes to be the president who promotes peace and ends conflicts. But this will be difficult.
These are complex matters. I cannot name an exact time. But when the conflict between the two sides ends, each side must give way.
However, Rubio did not clarify what specific concessions are expected from Ukraine.
We are not in a hurry to start negotiations. Such negotiations are better conducted through diplomatic means rather than publicly. Russia and Ukraine must make final decisions.
When asked how quickly a ceasefire in Ukraine could be achieved, Rubio replied: 'This will be a priority for the president, so it will start almost immediately. Some preliminary steps have already been taken. This conflict must come to an end.'
During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump promised to end the war between Russia and Ukraine before he became president.
