The president's advisor refuted information about conscription of citizens
Dmytro Lytvyn, advisor to President Volodymyr Zelensky, dismissed reports about the preparation for the conscription of Ukrainian citizens who are 18 years old. He published this information on his page on social media X.
'No one is preparing any conscription of 18-year-olds,' Lytvyn emphasized.
This discussion was triggered by a comment from U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who stated that Ukraine must make difficult decisions regarding conscription.
Blinken believes that halting Russian aggression can only be done with people on the front lines, even if there are funds and ammunition.
Earlier, it was reported that young men can register for military service through 'Reserve+'.
