Deadly Strike in Kharkiv: Casualties and Destruction
According to Novyny.live: A Russian guided bomb attack on Kharkiv has left one woman dead and raised the number of injured to ten, according to local officials and medics. The strike hit the Kholodnohirskyi district, causing severe injuries among the victims. Among the casualties, a 23-year-old woman was killed, and another individual remains in critical condition.
The attack occurred on June 28, when Russian forces struck Kharkiv and 24 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. In total, two people were killed and 26 others wounded—including two children—across the area. Beyond the human toll, the assault damaged:
- a tram;
- the electrical grid;
- over 15 vehicles;
- an industrial building;
- residential homes.
Bohdan Hladkykh, head of the Kharkiv City Council's emergency department, stated: 'Unfortunately, the second guided bomb struck the roadway.'
A Red Cross volunteer also reported: 'One young woman was in extremely critical condition, and we began providing medical assistance immediately.'
Regional Situation
Tensions remain high across the region, as a Russian Shahed drone also struck the Shevchenkivskyi district on June 28. Authorities continue to monitor developments and provide aid to victims.
