April 1 Strike on Lutsk: Russian Forces Hit Industrial Site and Damage Residential Building.
Lutsk Comes Under Fire on April 1
According to Novyny.live: On April 1, 2023, Russian military forces launched an attack on an industrial facility in the city of Lutsk. The assault also impacted a nearby apartment building, where a drone fragment shattered a balcony. Among the targets were a Nova Poshta warehouse and a food storage facility belonging to a retail chain.
The Lutsk City Council confirmed that 'a strike hit one of the industrial enterprises in Lutsk.'
“Thank God, as of now, there are no reports of casualties. I am grateful to the air defense troops and our rescuers!”
Ihor Polishchuk, Mayor of Lutsk
In March 2023, Russia had already struck dozens of locomotives across Ukraine. Local authorities and emergency services are managing the aftermath in Lutsk, keeping the situation under control.
The April 1 bombardment of Lutsk is part of Russia's ongoing military campaign against Ukraine, which began in 2022. These strikes on infrastructure—particularly industrial sites and residential zones—highlight the persistent dangers faced by civilians and the country's economy.
City officials and emergency response teams continue working to ensure public safety and mitigate the damage from such attacks, though the threat remains constant, demanding a state of perpetual readiness for similar incidents.
