Three Shahed Drones Strike Sloviansk: One Man Wounded and Multiple Homes Damaged.
Attack on Sloviansk
According to UATV: Around midnight on March 25, Russian forces launched an attack on the city of Sloviansk in Donetsk Oblast, using three Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicles to target the Lisnyi district. A man sustained minor injuries, while the strikes caused significant damage to three apartment buildings and four private houses. This incident is part of the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, where drone warfare has become a persistent threat to civilian areas.
A fire broke out in a garage following the attack, further complicating the situation in the neighborhood. As a result, parts of the Lisnyi district have lost electricity, raising concerns among residents about safety and recovery.
Eyewitness Accounts
Olha, a local resident, described her experience:
“At that moment, when everything was falling, I had just opened the door and was about to step outside.”
Another resident, Antonina, added:
“First there was one explosion, then a second... All my flower pots flew off, and the windows were torn out along with their frames. It was terrifying.”
The situation in Sloviansk remains tense, with residents continuing to feel the aftermath of this assault. Local authorities are working to restore power and address the damage caused by the attack.
This strike is part of a broader conflict that has persisted for years in the region, highlighting the ongoing use of drones in combat operations. The unpredictability of such attacks poses a major risk to civilians. While officials and emergency services strive to respond swiftly, rebuilding infrastructure and ensuring safety remain challenging under current conditions. Residents of Sloviansk face heightened danger daily, leading to widespread anxiety and stress.
