Ukraine received 170 million euros for housing: who the funds are designated for.
According to inkorr.com: On Wednesday, Ukraine received 170 million euros for the implementation of housing programs from the Council of Europe's Development Bank as part of the international conference URC-2025. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko through her Telegram channel.
Main areas of financing
Out of this amount, 70 million euros will go to the HOME project, which will allow 4,000 families to buy new living spaces instead of destroyed ones. Priority for support will be given to defenders, people with disabilities, and large families.
'Thanks to the project, over 7,600 Ukrainians have already received new housing, and a total of 24.3 thousand Ukrainian families have received housing certificates,' Svyrydenko noted.
The other 100 million euros are aimed at supporting internally displaced persons. This includes providing housing, education for children, and integration into local communities.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the housing sector remains one of the most affected areas. 'More than 135 thousand families have already benefited from the eRecovery program and received compensation for the repair of damaged or the purchase of new housing,' she added.
She also expressed gratitude to European partners for their support in restoring housing conditions for Ukrainian families.
Thus, financing of 170 million euros is an important step in restoring housing conditions for Ukrainian families. This support will help many families find new comfort and resume normal life, which is especially important in the context of current challenges.
