Ukraine Received 4 Billion Euros from the EU: Funds from Russian Assets.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine has received the fourth tranche of macro-financial assistance from the European Union amounting to 4 billion euros. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, emphasizing that the money was received under the 'ERA Loans' program. Importantly, this significant sum was transferred to Ukraine on Defender's Day.
This tranche is financed by the profits generated from the frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia, which are located in the EU. As the head of government noted, this is not only financial support but also a powerful signal of the importance of European backing for Ukraine amid escalating tensions.
The Prime Minister especially highlighted the leadership of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Commissioner for Economic Affairs Valdis Dombrovskis. She emphasized that these funds will help save lives, restore the consequences of the war, and reaffirm Europe's unwavering support for Ukraine's choice.
Reparations from Russia Amounting to Nearly 200 Billion Euros
It was previously announced that there are plans to pay Ukraine 'reparations' from Russia amounting to nearly 200 billion euros.
The receipt of a new tranche of financial assistance from the EU confirms the growing support of the European Union for the Ukrainian authorities in the context of the conflict with Russia. These funds will not only serve as an additional incentive for the country's development but also as evidence of the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
