Ukraine sensationally defeated Morocco at the 2024 Olympics in football.

The Ukrainian national football team played their second match at the Olympic Games. The Ukrainians defeated Morocco with a score of 2:1.

The Ukrainians opened the score in the first half. In the 22nd minute, Maksym Bragara crossed from the flank, and Dmytro Krystsiiv put the ball into the net.

In the first half, Maksym Khlan struck twice at Morocco's goal, but his shots were saved by their team's goalkeeper. Arsenii Batagov also attempted to strike after Krytskiiv's pass, but the ball flew over the goal.

In the second half, Morocco's players Achraf Hakimi and Bilal el-Khannous unsuccessfully shot over the goal. However, Morocco managed to equalize when Volodymyr Salyuk fouled in the penalty area and received a red card. Soufiane Rahimi converted the penalty.

Even with one man down, the Ukrainian team tried to regain the victory. Oleh Krasnopir shot straight at the goalkeeper. But in the final minutes of the match, the Moroccan team played more actively but failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage.

In the 90+8 minute, Ihor Krasnopir finished a cross from the flank and scored the winning goal. The score was 2:1 in favor of Ukraine.

Argentina defeated Iraq

In another Group B match, Argentina defeated Iraq with a score of 3:1. Now, before the final round, all teams in the group have three points each.

Recall that on July 24, the Ukrainian team lost to Iraq with a score of 1:2 in their debut match at the Olympic Games.
