Ukraine has created a contact group with European countries to end the war, - OP.
Ukraine has formed a new contact group with European countries to adopt a common position on ending the war. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Ukraine, Serhiy Nykyforov, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.
The group includes countries with significant military capabilities and considerable investments in Ukrainian arms production. Countries that influence Ukraine's future in NATO will also join the group. The final list of participants is currently being formed, Nykyforov noted.
'Ukraine plans to hold this meeting in December to coordinate, develop a common position, and ensure military resilience under any circumstances: both at the negotiating table and on the battlefield,' said the President's press secretary.
President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the creation of the contact group during a meeting with the candidate for the post of Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz. According to the head of state, Ukraine hopes to involve Denmark as a representative of the Scandinavian countries.
Merz proposed to create a contact group from Germany, France, Poland, and Great Britain to develop a common approach with the United States to end the war.
It is worth noting that Zelensky first confirmed the conversation with Trump about ending the war.
