The announcement was made at the inaugural Centenary Partnership Forum held in Kyiv on January 16, where defense cooperation details, including the manufacturing of drones named 'Octopus,' were discussed. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized the project's significance, stating it represents

"a true alliance for indivisible European security and a shared future."
The presence of UK Justice Minister David Lammy at the forum underscored the importance both governments place on this venture. Czech President Petr Pavel also attended, highlighting the broad international interest in European security matters.
