Russian Forces Launch Major Drone Attack on Ukraine
According to UATV: On June 27, 2023, Russian forces targeted Ukraine with 129 strike drones, including models such as the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parody decoy drones. The attack originated from multiple launch points: Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea and Donetsk region. This large-scale operation highlights the ongoing use of unmanned aerial vehicles in the conflict.
By 8:30 AM, Ukraine's air defense systems had successfully neutralized 113 hostile drones. However, 13 strike drones managed to hit their targets across seven locations, and debris fell in three additional areas. The defense effort involved a coordinated response from various branches, including:

- Surface-to-air missile forces
- Electronic warfare (EW) teams
- Mobile fire groups from Ukraine's Defense Forces
