The government allocated an additional 400 million UAH for housing purchases for veterans in 2024
The Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, Natalia Kalmykova, reported that the government allocated an additional 400 million UAH for housing purchases for veterans in 2024. This information became known after a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
'The additional funds allow the Ministry of Veterans Affairs to provide monetary compensation for housing purchases this year for another 186 individuals. The funds will be transferred to the recipients during the current month,' - noted Natalia Kalmykova.
Until this point, a record 10.5 billion UAH had been spent on providing veterans and their families with their own housing this year.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine expresses gratitude to the government and the Ministry of Finance for their cooperation in implementing the state veteran policy and ensuring housing for our defenders.
It is worth noting that under the housing programs of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, nearly 10.1 billion UAH had already been allocated for housing purchases for 4,433 veterans.
As of December 1, 2024, 2,130 veterans had already received monetary compensation, of which 1,053 individuals had already purchased housing.
