The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval reported that during the full-scale invasion, 20.5% of agricultural land was lost. This has led to a reduction in the volume of produced goods. In 2021, Ukraine harvested 106 million tons of grain and industrial crops, while last year only 77 million tons were grown, - noted the minister during a telethon.

We lost 20.5% of all agricultural land due to the war, which significantly affected the reduction in the volume of produced goods. In 2021, Ukraine harvested 106 million tons of grain and industrial crops, while last year only 77 million tons were grown, - noted the minister during a telethon.

It is noted that a significant part of Ukraine's territories cannot be processed due to active military actions, mining, or occupation.

The minister pointed out that increasing production is a way to resolve such a situation. To this end, the state budget for 2025 has allocated 1 billion hryvnias for humanitarian demining. Koval emphasized that these funds will be directed specifically to farmers for demining agricultural lands. This year, the government plans to demine at least 65 thousand hectares of agricultural land.

Koval reported that currently there are 2 million hectares of potentially mined land in Ukraine, but about 500 thousand hectares have already been surveyed and cleared.
