Ukraine Allocates $5 Billion for Deep Strikes, Launching ‘Logistical Lockdown’ Against Russia.
New ‘Logistical Lockdown’ Initiative Takes Aim at Russian Supply Lines
According to Espreso.tv: Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, has officially unveiled a new program called ‘Logistical Lockdown’, designed to ramp up pressure on Russian forces by systematically dismantling their operational capabilities. Ukrainian troops have already seized the initiative along the front lines, inflicting heavy casualties. According to reports, the Russian military is losing over 35,000 soldiers each month—either killed or severely wounded.
Core Elements of the Program
Under the ‘Logistical Lockdown’ initiative, Ukraine has quadrupled the destruction of enemy logistics hubs, ammunition depots, military equipment, and command centers. Minister Fedorov emphasized that strategic decisions to scale up middle-strike capabilities played a decisive role in this shift. To support the program, the government has earmarked 5 billion hryvnias for the procurement of advanced middle-strike systems.
A centralized tender process for a large batch of these systems aims to equip the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with cutting-edge technology, further intensifying pressure on Russian troops. Fedorov stated:
‘Our goal is to tighten the noose on the Russians in their rear areas and strip them of the ability to conduct active assault operations.’ - Mykhailo Fedorov
The effects of these centralized purchases are expected to become visible on the battlefield by summer.
- Norway will begin manufacturing Ukrainian-designed mid-strike drones, which will also contribute to the program’s objectives.
- Fedorov highlighted the significance of these new capabilities for the AFU, noting that ‘the enemy will no longer feel safe, even far from the front line.’
Overall, the ‘Logistical Lockdown’ initiative promises to significantly alter the dynamics on the front and bolster Ukraine’s defensive posture.
The launch of this program marks a critical step in Ukraine’s broader effort to strengthen its defense capabilities and counter Russian aggression. By focusing on crippling enemy logistics and expanding strike power, Ukraine aims to shift the balance of power on the battlefield. The integration of modern technologies, such as drones, also underscores Ukraine’s commitment to adapting to contemporary warfare demands and improving the effectiveness of its armed forces.
