Ukraine won the tenth gold at the Paralympics-2024.
At the Paralympics in Paris, swimmers Yaroslav Denisenko and Maksym Veraksa won gold and silver in class S12 in the 100 meters freestyle. Denisenko came first, moving from fourth place to first, while Veraksa finished first in the initial 50 meters. Illia Yaremenko finished seventh in the final.
In swimming, Ukraine also won four medals. Andrii Trusov and Yurii Shyngur were medalists in the 100 meters backstroke in class S7. Shyngur won gold, and Trusov silver. Ihor Nimchenko became the silver medalist in the 100 meters butterfly in class S10. Danylo Chufarov won silver in the 200 meters individual medley in class SM11.
It is also worth noting the victory of athlete Nataliia Kobzar, who made her contribution to Ukraine's overall victory at the Paralympics 2024, winning gold in her individual discipline.
