Ukraine to save half a billion on energy efficiency: how will this affect the budget.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine is actively promoting initiatives in the field of energy efficiency of public buildings. The new program involves energy certification and the installation of solar power plants with storage on hundreds of facilities across the country. Experts estimate that this will save more than half a billion hryvnias annually and bring Ukraine closer to energy independence.
Energy Carrier Costs
Currently, public institutions spend about 90 billion hryvnias on energy carriers. Thanks to energy efficiency measures, these costs can be reduced by almost half - to 45 billion hryvnias per year. This will not only reduce expenses but also direct the saved funds to social programs and other needs of citizens.
'Taxes should work for citizens, not disappear in energy carrier bills. Every hryvnia saved means more stable prices for essential goods,' emphasizes Hanna Zamazieieva, head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency.
Future Plans
The #EnergyIndependence program has been active for a year, laying the groundwork for future successes. By the end of 2025, it is planned to continue this course to ensure annual savings and maintain energy security.
Thus, Ukraine focuses on improving energy efficiency in public buildings, which can significantly save funds and improve the quality of life for citizens. This initiative will not only reduce the costs of energy carriers but also create favorable conditions for implementing social programs that are critically needed for the population.
