The Government of Ukraine has decided to reimburse the increase in tariffs after the terrorist attack
The Government of Ukraine has decided to compensate citizens for the increase in tariffs following the terrorist attack on the Kakhovka HPP. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting in Dnipropetrovsk region.
According to the Prime Minister's order, the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Environmental Protection have been tasked with developing a compensation program for the losses from the increase in tariffs due to the disaster at the Kakhovka HPP.
Shmyhal explained that residents of the affected regions will be able to use services at the old tariffs that were in effect before the incident. Additional costs associated with the destruction of vital infrastructure will be reimbursed by the government.
'People should not suffer due to the Russian terrorist act; they will continue to pay tariffs at the level prior to the incident at the station,' the head of the government emphasized.
This program will cover all regions of Ukraine affected by the explosion at Kakhovka.
The initiative will encompass all areas that suffered as a result of the explosion at the hydroelectric power station.
By the order of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, citizens of the affected areas will be compensated for the increased tariffs after the terrorist attack on the Kakhovka HPP. The compensation program stipulates that people will be able to continue using services at the previous tariffs without increasing their utility payment expenses.Read also
