Ukrainians may be banned from selling apartments: how it is related to utilities.
Debt for utilities can lead to the inability to sell an apartment or transfer it as inheritance.
This was reported by the first deputy chairman of the Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services, People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksii Kucherenko on the KYIV24 program.
Ukrainians who have debts for utilities should understand that in the future this may lead to problems, for example, when selling an apartment or transferring it as inheritance.
Kucherenko noted that many do not pay for water, especially in Kyiv. The Kyivvodokanal does not have the right to raise tariffs, so the residents of the capital continue to pay for water at old rates. Water supply and sewage in Kyiv costs about 35 hryvnias, while in Uman residents pay 120 hryvnias per cubic meter.
Noting that the state will sooner or later strengthen this process, Kucherenko warned that even if a person did not pay the debts, he would not avoid responsibility. People will be required to repay the debts or they will be encumbered on the apartment. If a person does not solve the problem with debts, they will have to sell the apartment or transfer it as inheritance.
It was previously reported that Ukrainians are becoming more and more indebted for utilities.
